James Comer (R-KY) said on Fox News Friday night that he wants &#8220;every person at Twitter&#8221; to speak before Congress about the social media company&#8217;s decision to limit access to the\u00a0Hunter Biden laptop story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Driving the news:<\/strong>\u00a0On Friday,\u00a0Elon Musk\u00a0criticized Twitter&#8217;s former management for its decision to limit access to a New York Post story on\u00a0Hunter Biden&#8217;s laptop\u00a0three weeks before the 2020 presidential election,\u00a0Axios\u00a0reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Musk allowed newsletter author Matt Taibbi to review internal Twitter documents over the decision.<\/li><li>Called the\u00a0&#8220;Twitter Files,&#8221;\u00a0Taibbi&#8217;s report showed a back-and-forth debate within Twitter about the story and the thinking behind the ban.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What they&#8217;re saying:\u00a0<\/strong>In response to the report, Comer said on\u00a0&#8220;Hannity&#8221;\u00a0that he wants to bring &#8220;every employee at Twitter who was involved in suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story&#8221; in front of the House Oversight Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>He said they will have to &#8220;explain their actions to the American people. This was a huge story.&#8221;<\/li><li>Comer said the story&#8217;s ban was \u201celection suppression.\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Catch up quick:\u00a0<\/strong>The New York Post story\u00a0suggested Hunter Biden tried to set up a meeting between his father and the Ukrainian company that employed Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The exchange was recovered by the Post through emails found on a laptop.<\/li><li>Twitter said it blocked the Hunter Biden story because of a company policy on hacked and stolen materials,\u00a0Axios\u00a0reports. Conservatives said Twitter was censoring the news.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The big picture<\/strong>:\u00a0Republicans\u00a0\u2014 including Comer \u2014 are hyping up an investigation into Hunter Biden now that the GOP\u00a0won enough seats\u00a0in the\u00a0midterm elections\u00a0to retake the House majority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&#8220;When we announced the investigation of the Biden family and referenced material from the laptop, many in the mainstream media said this is just a conspiracy theory,&#8221; Comer said on the &#8220;Hannity&#8221; program.<\/li><li>&#8220;The mainstream media is still trying to use the old talking points the laptop is somehow Russian disinformation.&#8221;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/authors\/hscribner\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
